Anyone know if you can get a new NON Sunroof roof skin for a Escos?

Is the standard MK5 roof the same?

I fancy getting rid of my sunroof and the windscreen needs to be replaced anyway
so might do it when the screen is out.

I made a lot of Kevlar panels for my 106 Maxi so Might even make a Carbon roof
if I had a new skin to mould off

I called my main dealer today and without even checking he told me a
roof skin was not available. Is this correct or was it just a lazy parts man?

The finis for the non sunroof skin is 7376805, no idea if it is available

Ok, called a dealer in Dublin with the above number.

It came up as a 3 door Escort roof panel from 90-95,

Its still available

Its €996 (£844)

Pretty sure the mk6 Escort has the same roof too. It may be easier to find one of those than a mk5.

Sh!t the bed they've gone up in price. Admittedly I used to get FMC employee discount, but even so, back in 2003 when I bought a roof for my RS2000 MK5 I got this lot for £376.81 inc vat:

FINIS 1003235 - lower rear boot shut panel (lower than rear lights)
FINIS 6544478 - rear RHS light aperture assembly
FINIS 6544479 - rear LHS light aperture assembly
FINIS 6875809 - complete inner rear quarter LHS
FINIS 6875808 - complete inner rear quarter RHS
FINIS 7376832 - complete outer roof assembly

Can anyone confirm if the mk5 and mk6 roof skin are the same?

Part number for a non sunroof is 7376805 and it is not specified as being Cosworth only. Part number is listed against 92 onward and 95 onward. I would say it is the same.
