    OK Frank, thank you.

So had a think last night and if I am getting the HG changed I might as well do some other bits.

    So was thinking

    Head gasket
    Cambelt and tensioner
    Rocker rocer gasket
    Sump gasket
    Crank case gasket
    New oil
    filter oil/fuel
I will also get the exhaust jigged so it does not catch on the gearbox.

Also after checking through the spec it says this about the ARP

Arp big end and flywheels bolts

So I am guessing it does not have the ARP head bolts? which is a good thing?

Can anyone put me in the right direction for parts please? would prefer to buy from one person at the best price?

    thanks again

By the sounds of it , you would be easier taking the engine out to do all this, especially doing the sump gasket also, and it being a 2wd , engine will come out no problem

I wont be doing the work, will get my mechanic to do that. If he wants to take the engine out then I have no problems with that (Means I can get in the engine bay and work some bufty magic lol)

Would I need anything else except this kit for the head gasket job?

          Obviously oil

          http://shop.grahamgoode.com/ford-sie...et-69371-p.asp

Also this kit has the crank case gaskets etc in? so would only need the sump gasket on top to complete the gasket set?? Sorry for all the silly questions. Never done a HG before

              get it from matt lewis

you may as well get an engine gasket set, as if your gonna do sump gasket then engine will have to come out

engine gasket inc grp a head gasket
              cambelt and tensioner
std head bolts 2wd/4wd are different so get ones to suit your head not block
              oil and filter
              spark plugs
may aswell change cap and rotor arm as well
              antifreeze

your choice wether you want to change any sensors and up to you again for fuel filter

Cheers Richy, I will see what he is charging to do the sum gasket and weigh that one up.

The car had all new sensors in 2010... I will get him to check them just in case they look tired

if your sensors have been replaced that soon, they will be fine mate

dont forget a new thermostat as well, maybe worth having a new fan switch too as rad will need to come out

and matt lewis will be the cheapest for everything you need

Looks like you'll need a second job to pay for it all!
And I think water leaks maybe contagious as I lost all my water on way to work his morning. Managed to make it to a garage and fill the header tank up. Travelled a further 5 miles and checked again........all gone.
Finished work and had another check after refilling water. It was the thermostat housing, the gasket was perished. Put some gasket sealer on it and all's fine again. easy fix for a change.

                        Scouse.

Yeah, just got all the parts in from Matt Lewis, went for Victor Reinz gaskets and bolts etc. Calling the garage today to get it in and sorted hopefully.
