  • is it easy to remove the front bumper & swap twins for standard lights?

as ive got a nice pair of standard headlights to fit, is there a step by step guide to taking the front bumper off & swap the twins for standared lights, is it an easy job & is it a case of just unplugging the twins & re plug the standards back in?.... thanks in advance.......

    Yeah it's pretty straightforward mate

Shouldn't take more than a couple of hours

I remove the bumper by unscrewing the height adjusters and removing the 1/4 turn fasteners from inside the wheel arches, I can have a bumper off in 2 minutes but you have to be careful as sometimes the height adjusters can be seized.

If they are seized then you'll nedd to remove the bumper using the 4x 17mm head bolts that hold it to the chassis legs, this is a bit more time consuming as you need to jack the car up and remove the undertray first.

Any probs just give me a bell mate - 07917757695

I would imagine it would be quite simple, but like everything with Cosworths, most simple jobs turn into a nightmare

I changed mine without taking the bumper off!
Take out fogs and use a long extension to get to bottom bolt.
Why is everyone going back to standard lights I not long ago put my twins on. Lol

Exactly mate, no need to remove the front bumper at all and risk breaking anything.

The wiring should be easy enough too Dave, there's a 'separate' loom for the sidelights, so just unplug that lot and plug back in your headlights.
