    Loosing hope with this one
No vacume leaks any where, cleaned etc. the 2 pipe Amal valve tried every thing, fuel filter, plugs, cap,
Rotor arm etc. still no change bt escos
    Any hop please
    Standard bt escos no mods

    Right....
Start again and explained exactly what the original problem is. Your description of boost on and Off isn't helpful.

When does it loose boost, what boost do you get before it drops and what is the boost after it drops. Dose it do it all the time no matter what or is it intermittent, ie can you sometimes drive it without it loosing the boost. What does the engine sound like when it looses the boost ie do you gat a whooshing sound, screaming banshee sound, does it pop or bang.
The amal valve you have been playing, is a major part of you boost set up. if you have broken it, left pipes off it then you will not get your proper boost.
The valve diverts boost pressure to the waste gate actuator to reduce boost. When the amal vents off boost the the actuator boost rises. If you have connected the pipes up the wrong way you might very well be shutting down boost all the time.

Have you done a proper boost leak test using compressed air from the turbo inlet.

Have you had any idle speed issues ie running too fast.

Hi there the boost problem is alway there but it shows its self in 2 ways
It ither goes half way up the gauge then hesitates for a while before it goes to full boost
Or it goes to full boost steight away then back to half then full and so on
This is with the throttle on the floor
      No idling problems at all
Engine doesn't alter in noise at all

have you tried a map sensor ? also you say rotor arm etc but have you checked the phase sensor the wiring usually breaks & gets brittal

Could be the multi plugs on the inner wing,

When I bought my car it had a massive flat spot at about 3.5k & wouldn't fully boost, I cleaned the multi plugs & it's been fine ever since

i wonder if the actuator spring might be getting tired clamp the pipe off to the actuator and see what that does, i've suffered with this on my truck, daf were blaming everything but the actuator, one pair of mole grips later and she was pulling like a train!
              one for the road?? ......

Is there any way of testing the phase sensor and would it affect boost?
Also the map sensor is there any way of testing
Or just keep shelling out till I get it sussed
Also I pulled the pipe off the actuator pulled the arm out and there is a lot of suction there
Does this mean its working ( no leaks )

These tests are for Sierra, but think they'd b the same for the BT Escos.

MAP Sensor supply (ignition off) pos lead on pin 30 neg lead on pin 11.......300-600ohms
MAP Sensor output (ignition off) pos lead on pin 30 neg lead on pin 15........3000-6000ohms
MAP Sensor cable shielding (ignition off) pins 11,15,30 neg lead Engine earth......infinite.

Phase Sensor (ignition off) pos lead pin 23 neg lead pin 5..........700-1200ohms

                    Thanks for that matey
Just come in from the garage and I think I'm getting closer
Not just going to keep throwing money at it
                    I'm a tight git
But I want it to run right
I don't believe it's the map sensor at I have no vacume leaks and there seems to be vacume
Every where but I'm missing something
                    I'll get there

Spend a little more money wisely and get a new amal valve. If its fooked it doesn't matter what you do until its sorted. Borrow one to try it if you can. But diagnosing boost issues when the very thing that controls the pressure to the actuator could be defective is impossible and a waste of time.
If I had a spare would post it out to you to try.

I've tried everywhere and I mean every where can't get one headbang:
Must be serious rare or something

you can use a manual adjustable boos controller ( screw vent off type) start with it fully screwed in, ie min boost then slowly open the bleed off valve to increase boost ( or what ever the instruction say to achieve min boost).

Remember your base boost level is set by the diaphragm /spring pressure in the actuator. You wont be able to get it any lower that the pre-set will allow. You will however be able to get more boost that the pre-set will allow so be careful when using a manual adjuster not to dial in to much boost.
Again you might be able to borrow one from some one.

The problem with this is that if your engine goes into limp mode , the ECU want be able to shut down the boost pressure to the minimum.

Do you not know anyone in your area with another one that you could just use to swap parts over with and test?
