  • WRC Kit

I know this must have been asked a million times before

what are the best options for kitting a ROAD going car with a WRC front bumper and rear wing.

I take it you have to get the holes filled on the tailgate. Do you need to use the bumber bar from the original bumper to fit the WRC bumper.

Also there are a few different materials what would be best for quality and finish as close to the originals. I may leave the rear wing as carbon as I have seen these available. so it would mostly be the front end that needs to be a close to factory fit and finish as possible.

    Cheers

Have you bought an Escos now then Andy!?

MCR do a very good copy of the front WRC Bumper in Fibreglass which is what Dave (red escos) used to have IIRC, the finish can still be perfect and flawless on fibreglass the same as anything else, I could do this for you

Mike (R) sells the rear WRC Spoiler in Carbonm, retails are around £700 IIRC! Upper holes from the whaletail will obviously need to be filled up, then you need the front grill which I think MCR can supply, then it's front wings, which can be fabricated from your original wings in metal for £175 per side, available from Ian at Racetech

I supplied the bumper to DavEscos, a few years ago.
I can still get them, but they are alot dearer now, @ £395
If you are talking about MCR Isle of wight, they shut 2 years ago.
We can do the front Grill £55.00

Don't forget the rear wiper some spoilers cover this so you would need to consider.

Or you could just go down the scrap yard and pickup a cheap boot lid

That is so far from the truth you can come IMO. They look like the original but the fit and mounting points suck big time. The finish too. LOTS of prepping needed.

Get the pieces from the germans instead.

Hence why I said that fibreglass can be made to look flawless with a decent bodyshop doing it! No need to buy from the Germans at all! Why the fook pay to import something that we already have in the UK

Andy, get one! Would be good to have you on board mate!

I supply some from here to Germany,in particular Elmer and they are not MCR ones, which as you say needed a fair bit of preparation.
