never really liked then tbh,i could never get my head round the sherpa and the ldv 200 being the same thing,the 400 was a poor copy of a transit twin wheeler,and when ldv dropped in a tranny donkey it confirmed to me a tranny was by far the better vans no question. still its a shame 6000 uk workers could be on the rock and role because of a useless labour regime

LDV was never a very good van. Transit rules the roost for price and what you get for your money.
Sprinters are the daddys but cost a fortune, VW's are good but you cant get a lease to cover the full cost as the lease company even think there vans are over priced!!!

Yep I think youre right... uk government should have done more to help the uk car industry... after all it is a massive part of our infrastructure... the yanks do take their car industry seriously and are trying to safeguard jobs.
Here its been too little too late a few pence off VAT and that oughta do it !!!

not being funny mate but IF the last FEW governments had not sold everything off to foregin investors then we would not be in this position, everything is being closed here because they are looking after there own nations.

Yep.... for years all we do is look after everyone else when they come over here and give money to other countries ... now the world is in meltdown, the rest of the world is looking out for themselves and we are left .... fooked.

come on then lets all tell about our LDV moments
We had two lol, o yes, we went back for another one for some reason.
First one was a 2.0 LDV, went well for a van, but the engine blew up and the steering rack was always going so we sold that.
Second was a N plate nick named Big Loader lol
It was a huge van, went like a lada and had really bouncy suspension. More play in the steering than on a old bus and over heated for a past time!!!
I ended up getting the N plate stuck in the lanes once as it was not man enough to back up a very small incline!!! then it started heating up! God that van was so wank. Never, ever will we own one of them again. My dad everynow and then see's one and the price, and starts mentioning them lol fuck that. He always loses that battle.
Also on that N reg, the engine was fully rebuilt under warranty, full brakes, and full drive train replaced. Thats how shit it was
Sold up for Transits which took the piss out of the LDV, then moved on to Sprinters, Vw's and still the faithful Transit tippers
