  • Removing Window Tint.

Has anyone removed window tint from there car, if so what's the best method?

Is it best to apply heat or remove and hope it doesn't leave much glue.....my main concern is the rear screen as I don't want to lose the heater elements.

    Any advice is appricated.

I'm with Carlo here, I did it on my second car and it was a bloody nightmare. Took me and the missus nearly all day to get the rear screen and two side windows clear of it and clean. You can get strips off but the glue left behind is horrendous. I think we used white spirit in the end.

My nephew does this for a living. As said tar and glue remover does a good job on the back heated screen panel wipe is good also. For the side window's window cleaner and a razor/stanley knife blade sliding it up and down scraping off the glue. Hope this helps.

This is how I have done it in the past, be careful with the blade and not mark the glass.

                    Thanks steven
