  • no spark

Hi I just fitted new engine to my esc cos and now has no spark. If you put a plug in one of the leads you get a small spark when you turn on and off the ignition but nothing while cranking. Any ideas what is causing this fault. could wrong gapped cps do this. fuel pump isn't priming as well

    Fuel pump check

1fuel shut off (passenger foot well)
2 fuel pump relay in fuse box under drivers side (fuse No9)
3 check CPS gap and make sure all pegs are on pulley
4 check temp sensor plug, rear of engine block passenger side.

    Scouse.

I had the car re sprayed the other day and it would not fire
But for me no fuel pump priming
The fuel pump wiring disconnected but there was always spark there

Has it run since you fitted the wasted spark?

Is the rear engine earth connected as this sounds like an earthing problem.

As above I would check your earth. I have also heard that the ignition amps can play up as well.

All sorted now lee from devil developments come out an fixed it. I didn't fit the dizzy back in as thought because I was running wasted spark I wouldn't need it but forgot about phase sensor lol, that sorted spark out but also changed battery as it had gone flat from alarm keep going off an lee said that because I had taken battery off it had reset it and then fired up
