Hi guys,
I'm looking for some help. After several weeks of trying to get my EsCos running, it still isn't
I took my mate out for a blast in it a while ago, and it was running perfectly, no missfires etc. The next day I tried to start it, and all it did was turn over but not fire.
Since then I have looked into the following:
i) Replaced and re-gapped the crank sensor.
ii) Replaced the phase sensor
iii) Replaced the plugs
iv) Peformed a compression test, all cylinders reading 120psi (dry) which I understand to be acceptable.
v) Checked the collant temperature sensor which seems to be working as normal (i'd replaced this a few months ago as well).
The immobiliser is working as normal and disarming it starts the fuel pump as normal. Fuel pressure seems to be normal (as shown on my in engine bay dial), and fuel seems to be getting into the cylinders.
I towed the car with my mate who tried bump starting it. It would only run on 1 or 2 cylinders with his foot flat to the floor.
It would seem to me that there is a problem with the ignition system, but where do I start to fault find? The car is a big turbo model and is running an MSD wasted spark system.
Any suggestions what could be the problem? My patience is starting to wear thin with it
Cheers,
Rich
