Radio/cd repair?

The single 2040 model CD player in my escos has given
Up the go a good while back.. But I'm having trouble finding a full working replacement..

Anybody had one repaired or can they be repaired....

They use to be in the early Mondeo but they are just as rare to be honest any ideas what part you need to get it up and running again ?

It went up in smoke Thought the car was on fire at the time.. Pooped me right up! might take it to work if I have to check the PCB board.. As my company has the machines to get it..
But the way it smoked I'd say its fooked!!
There like rocking horse shite Always looking on fleabay.. Just gave to keep looking..

I think I have one, I'm pretty sure it was a 2040 Single cd deck! It was working when I removed it years ago. Actually had it in my hands yesterday funny enough.
