  • MK1 Focus RS, what are there weak spots?

Hi folks, Guys what's the weak spots and bad points on body work of the MK 1 Focus RS? Engine wise what are they like for reliability standard and modified?

What is the best stage to take them bhp wise?
    Cheers Hugh

Rust from the back wheels to the very back Hugh(underneath) around the back wheel arch at the bottom and I think the tailgate can suffer a little also. Basically the same as your standard focus. Torque steer also. Feels more modern than Escos.

Engines seem to be bullet proof and can get good power in std form. Charge Cooler pumps fail, top mounts are common. It's like any car, if you maintain them, they can be a very reliable car.

As everyone says, they suffer from rust on rear arches, front wings, top of doors by mirrors etc....
