Engine builders help needed please

Hi guys need some help please, I have aquired some long rods and pistons and was just putting them together when I suddenly thought have got them the correct way round as in the rods have pins to one side so do they go towards the back or front of the engineperhaps I should just stick at being a sparky lol

Just asked and they go to the back mate let me know when you
