  • Roller Garage Door Fitting

    Hi all,

Looking for some advice, Im building a new home for the cars and looking around for prices for garage doors, i can pick something up on the net for around £1500.00 but most places i call to supply and fit are around £2500, so I'm thinking of fitting myself,is it difficult to fit a roller door, it will be around 4900mm x 2170mm, been looking at a Hormann

    thanks in advance.

Some of the instructions are crap, horman are really good doors but i would have a up and over door with 4 point locking. The roller doors have a gap at the top and mine lets water in the sides if the wind blows the rain hard.I have a garador good quality.

The reason i want a roller as it takes up less space, I'm not keen on rails coming into the garage. I have seen rollers with boxes on the tope around the roller part, its an insulated I'm going for so i don't want a gap at the top, defeats the purpose. Another make i was recommended was a sws, they have a looking mechanism on them also.
