Anyone been a snow/skiing holiday up there ? It's nearly 3 hours from me and we're thinking of taking Luca the end of January for 4 days never done a break like this and wondering what it's like in January there is no snow there now and I'm not going if there isn't snow

What time of year it looks stunning all year round just don't see any point in going without snow as I can go to Loch Lomond in 40 mins from my house and its just as stunning IMHO

Its ok Carlo, again depends on the snow, i learnt in scotland 16 years ago but very rarely go up now, i always get blizzard days but my mates tend to go up a bit, its a nice place regardless

Sean I stay in the west of Scotland and it's normally bad here in January but then again it's normally bad just now and it's just heavy rain I don't want to go if it's not snowing lol Loch Lomond is stunning and very close and I love it so would rather go there with no snow

Carlo we go snowboarding to the cairngorms, glencoe, the nevis range and glenshee

heres the websites for the ski/snowboarding areas most are starting to open, you should take luca to xscape at braehead for a few lessons before you go and they will supply you will all the equipment then you can decide whether you like it or not before spending a fortune on gear.
