Looks like we'll be moving again come summer, due to work. So to ensure the commute is roughly equal for both me and the Mrs, where are the decent places to live around the Stoke area? Currently in nice spot on the outside of Congleton, so ideally looking for somewhere like that with a garage....just as long as it doesn't resemble downtown Beirut

We're both in the medical profession, so need somewhere easily accessable to the M6 and a route to macclesfield. Safe place for our cars is the biggest seller, but can only rent at the moment because we keep having to move every 2 years with work. Looking in the region of between 550-650 maybe.

scabby abbey (abbey hulton) and bentilee are shit holes too.
