  • Help with fusebox anyone with M****C**?

Now this isnt your usual fuse box question, the actual fusebox is fine but it just sits and fits completely shit!

when i look at it all down i have a metal bracket on the left and what looks like a plastic bracket on the right.

The plastic one is fine and the fusebox slides forwards on it but the left side one just seems non existant! the left hand side of the fusebox just hangs in thin air and trying to bend the bracket towards it is not helping, something tells me something is missing!

anyone got an pics of their fusebox hanging down etc? or even an exploded picture of fusebox area as i really think there must be something missing.

On the right side of the fuse box is a slide which a peg on the fuse box sits in. On the left side of the fuse box is another peg and this clips into a "U" scraped fitting that's fitted into the metal bracket as part of the car. Then there's a spring loaded clasp on front of the fuse box that clips onto a bracket to lock the fuse box up and out of the way.

I have got a u shaped fitting but it's attached to the black plastic bit spins round and round.

Cannot find anywhere that should be connected too, can't see any marks on the metal bracket etc.

A pic of this area would be great anyone?

I'd have to take the fuse box out to get you a pic! all I can say is that looking at fuse box, right rear is a peg and this fits into a slide bracket so the fuse box can be pulled forward when checking relays. Left rear of fuse box there is also a peg, but this just fits into a "u" shaped clip. Think it's actually metal and made from spring steel so the peg can be held in securely! And the spring clip is connected to a bracket which is part of the bodywork.

P.S. Where in UK are you?

          Hi mate,

I have spring clip that is on fuse box still which spins round (this is on left) but spring clip is not connected to any bodywork etc, just running free lol.

          I'm in Essex.

I think clip has broken off metal but very hard to say without seeing a pocture

Ahh! Now I'm on the same page lol

If I have the time tomorrow when I get home from work (packing my home as I'm moving on Saturday lol) I'll take a pic and post it up!
