  • Gaz Adjustable (not coilover) Suspension V Konis

Anyone had these and how do they compare to Konis?
    Cheers

I've had both and prefer the Gaz, despite how quickly they corrode.

As above, GAZ are stronger than KONI where it matters - at the hub carrier.

The GAZ uprights do not have the bending problem. Used them for 4 years now (on Red Es Cos L8 ECU)

With KONI's, even a slight kink at the hub can add 8mm to 15mm of neg camber, this is enough to push the tyre against the spring platform (even if you have cut down platforms).

The GAZ have lots of damper adjustment, and this is no proiblem - simply start at the mid point and adjust from there. When correctly adjusted they are superb (on Amhed springs or whatever brand of springs you use).

GAZ are very good value too.

Hmmm, definitely worth a thought then. I'm going to be taking mine apart again soon and have brand new Konis on, but think I might give the GAZ ones a go. Is there any way of stopping them corroding.

Do you have to chop the cups on the front ones to make big wheels fit?
