Free AA cover with Lloyd's......in the paperwork it said European cover included but when I rung them to activate it for a weekend it Brittany last year they said, oh no, sorry, we've taken that off now twats !!!!
So, I'll have to pay for cover to go to the Alps this summer
Does that cover you for long distances etc or just to the nearest garage or 30 miles etc as I know there are a couple of versions of recovery
Both times they recovered me to home in Essex........first time from Norfolk with a busted gearbox and second time 40 minutes from home with a busted clutch !
AA been with them since 1983.
However there shit when it comes to commercial vehicles, I have my hire campers with the RAC.
AA quote per camper van this year £255 x5
RAC quote £81 per camper x 5
Cant see why the difference either
Another for the aa, been with then 12 years now used them once in my recovery truck when it was loaded and shat the turbo, they whacked it on the back and took me home, got some dodgy photos taken by others who thought it was a funny sight.
Slight issue is they charge me more for being loyal than if I was to join up as a new customer.

Agreed, I asked them only yesterday why my renewal was more than a new member and they said its because I'm a Gold member and get other benefits......in the end I renewed for £73 yesterday. The knocked over £40 off the renewal. It just goes to show you have to haggle with them
