Wiring Ford Amp, 2008 & 2040 CD

Hi,
I've got an original Ford amp, 2008 & 2040 CD that I'm trying to wire up.
The 2008 & 2040 have the cables that connect to the loom via yellow blocks and the amp.
The 2008 & 2040 both power up fine.

The amp though needs a 'chassis ground' and 'power 12v input' via what looks like spade connectors.
Has anyone got details of where Ford wired the amp into ???
I'm just a bit cautious before chopping into cables !!
Any help would be great, cheers

if i remember correctly you get an earth and power also with an ignition feed and these come from the N/S of the car obviously you also have your speaker wires

does the amp not have a grey coloured mini-loom to power it up

Yep got the grey loom, that links to the 2008 & 2040.
Where should the 'amp' be fitted, it's very tight around the glovebox, and there's a magneti Marelli box in the footwell..... is it a case of put it where theres space !!

the amp goes in the footwell behind the centre console, right where a passengers toes on there right foot would be..

does anybody have pics of full loom connecting radio/cd/amp, i am looking for a full loom but don't know how it looks

I'll try and get a picture up before I fit it. ( I might have a spare loom/cable once I finished, just trying to sort out some old DIY wiring !! )

How many 93 models have the Ford Catalogue 2008 and 2040, I understand their was a more sleeker looking 2008 and 2040.....?

it does but it also has a plug with 8 speaker wires and power supply

where the passengers right foot would be you should have 3 studs on the bulkhead which the plastic retaining nuts screw on to - its a real tight fit
