help needed st too bt

Right guys i have a st escort and seem to be getting no where with itwould i be best getting a bt ecu,turbo,plenum,loom etc etc or buying a t34 and a motec or something like that ecu to run it iam really needing advice on this as i feel like giving up before i have started with the carplease help

I would always recomend a programable Ecu over changing back to BT.

To change to bit turbo you would need the minimum of a T34, new management (ECU & Loom), injectors, then probably a cooler and a clutch plus big brakes if you've not already got them!!

Is your ST causing you problems at the moment and if so, what?

i dont know if i am speaking to the guy i think you are (esort cosworth in JC's vidoe MAD)do you not tune cossies and what programable Ecu would you susjest and do you do them?if so could you please pm me as i really feel like giving up

If its a long drive to get it done correctly then the drive home is always betterand longerthan most.

Yep thats me, I use either Autronic or Vipec Ecu's.

i have been told a st can run 300bhp or a bit more maxed out?but iam wanting about 350-380 bhp to keep me happy but i have spoke to a few people and they say change the loom,injectors etc etc and another person saying change the turbo and get programable Ecu i am trying to find out whats the best to do as i dont want to go ripping the car appart and find that a programable Ecu is the best way?

Black injectors would be good mate, buy them once and they will run most people power that you want, Greens are really only good for up to 350ish

I always recomend larger injectors rather than something that is only just big enough for the job.
