Thinking of doing one (at some point in the future)
I know theres the kara ones that are around 25k (i wouldnt pay that for a replica of any car,and its not dimentionally correct anyway).
Then theres the banham ones which ARE dimentionally correct as they used the same molds bought from ford but engines in the front .(even so,i nearly bought one at one time with a 2.0 turbo in it lol)
Then theres this relitivly new body panel swap for the mk3 mr2..ok its a toyota, and its not totally correct (like the windscreen) but the engines in the right place and can be swapped for a mk2 turbo lump etc.
My mates are split down the middle, from ultra cool to it looks nothing like one and its shit.
Its about £3500 for everything inc windows etc..and you can pick up mr2's for peanuts nowadays..
It will never be a real one obviously but i think its pretty cool.
Opinions?
Few pics..
