Same problem, height. My high top campers are just over 10ft high, the roof is 12ft high and I recon I need a minimum of 4 to 5 ft lift height.
A pit would be the answer.

unless you can leave the door open whilst your working on your car you wont have much room to get access to the pit mate,it would be a nightmare .

im using 12 ton truck axles stands at the minute and they lift the car over 2ft off the ground giving plent of room to get underneath the saff

            cheers james

This is what I'm talking about Having used building blocks and not a dedicated liner how did you waterproof your pit
                      Any pictures of the construction
                      cheers,

I think Radman used a pond liner but not sure sunny, that seems a good idea, i will also put a sumphole in mine in case i need to jetwash anything,.

Is that that Black butyl rubber stuff you can bond together So.... dig a hole, make a wooden mould, line it with the liner then pour the concrete. I know that like 90% understated but the general idea

I think you need to dig the hole then put the liner in so the concrete or brickwork is in front of the liner Hope this makes sense mate.

The hammer lift I had was good plus you can take it anywhere as long as you have a van that the bits will fit into

i used visqueen sheeting to line mine, but it must have got torn because if theres a lot of rainfall then i get a couple of inches in the bottom,i sunk a sump hole in the floor anyway so i can drop my pump in and empty it out, its only had water in it around 5 or 6 times in the last 10 yrs so its not too bad, heavy duty rubber pond liner would be great but pretty expensive, the sides were built with 6" concrete blocks hope that helps
