      heard the dashboards are fairly bad for fucking up and electrics also
      my main issue would be with the running gear as that must be quite vunrable these days engine gearbox kind of thing and 4wd system
      are they not bad for water incress in lights and boot?

            well germany do have the nack of good enginnering look at the audi quattro and m3 etc look at most british mk5s there all rusted to fuck, so basically its really more a german car than an american or british one as they built it ?

                  they had pedigree also with btcc not so much rallying, an awsome engine that alot of folk use in there ford rs2000 etc, yet there worth hee haw these days and the 16v gte are classics in my opinion
