Help - FD 2040 CD serial Number

Hi all
I've got a Ford FD 2040 CD unit ( linked to a 2006 tape/radio head unit )
I've got all the connecting wires, code for the radio and everything fires up.
Only problem is I haven't got the code for the CD unit, and no serial number on the unit to go to the eBay codes guys

The CD dashes are still flashing so I think I'm below the 10 number 'lock out' crap !

Any ideas how I can find out the 'serial number' or get the code somehow ??
Any help would be great cheers

i went to ford with my serial number and they gave me code no problem.if you cannot sort it your end , pm , me the number and i will sort it my end as my dealer is very good

I thought you can press and hold 2 buttons together to find out the serial number? Cant remember which ones.

Only what's in the pic & a bar code sticker on top with the same serial number as the sticker on the side. Il have a look tomoz if there's a M number on it..

Old post but Still looking for the code for my 2040 cd as about ..0118777 looks as if it's an R before it engraved.
