Yea inside the front diff on drivers side? Should this be put in or can I get away without it? I've read about this before but been a long time ago

front shafts should be same length
the clip isnt important it can be left of but dead easy just to take the diff pan off and refit

xr4x4 shafts are aproxx 14mm longer than cossy ones im talking of the actual shaft part only the ends are the same
are you measureing the whole thing hughy ?? cus you may need to compress the spring inside the pot joint on both and re measure

you do not need to fit the circlip the inner cv tripod will pop out of the inner cv long before the shaft falls out of the diff

hughy yes drivers as thats the side that pops out under load when your engine mounts are fooked

                              george

because its to stop you losing your diff oil if working on that side for any reason ie doing a wheel bearing or similar
