    How long will petrol keep in a jerry can before it will go bad

    Ive heard that v-power loses its octane but would think its still usable after 6 months or more I have a can in my shed for the mower which probably sits there that amount of time and thats alright If your not sure you could test it in a lawnmower

        Depends what you want it for Paulmower non turbo non performance car etc will be fine wouldn't put it in the cosworth though fella and then give it the large one

              Wouldn't use fuel that old in me cossie, would
              use it in me everyday old banger but the way octane
              rating drops with age, wouldn't put it in anything
              half decent.

                Think it's usually ok for about 6 months but depends what additives they put in at the terminals.
                Also if it's been kept cool etc as in the heat the light ends like butane etc tend to flash off if open vented.
