  • Cosworth wedding car

I've been doing classic VW camper wedding hire for the last 3 years primarily for the brides side of things.
Not having driven the Cosworth for almost 14 months I decided to see if I could tempt the grooms side of a wedding with my ESCOS.
Today was the first wedding hire and what a day Drove from Loch Lomond to Cumbernauld to pick the groom up and delivered him to the "House for an Art lover" Glasgow ( 1989-96 to a 1901 design by Charles Rennie Mackintosh.)
The grooms other party went in a 1966 split screen Camper and the bride arrived in a 1935 RR 2530 Limousine. I kid you not the Cosworth stole the show. Most of the photos were of the Cosworth even the Splitty got second best.

What a dundernut.........I didn't get some photos of the Splitty and Roller they were supplied by Waterside Weddings.

What a way to enjoy Cosworth ownership

I charge a flat rate of £45/hr . This includes traveling time , waiting time for photo shoots etc plus 49 pence per mile travelled.
This last wedding cost £130. I did hang around a lot longer than normal as the bride forgot something and had to travel back to her mums house which took a hour extra but I didn't charge them

I wasn't sure It would be popular and tbh I'm still not but I will step up the adverts next year. I took out a single day wedding hire from Allan Boswell who insure my campers, but I know Paul will put weddings on the policy I have with him so that's what I will do for next year.

There's nothing better is there, knowing they have a purpose in life than just sitting under cover in the garage...

                      Nice idea .
It was commented by his best man that when he was sitting in the drivers seat for a few more photos that he was grinning more than he did at the actual ceremony and that was video by the vid guy

Great idea Frank - I'm sure it'll take off.

My mate got married at the same place in July. Really nice place but there weren't any Cossies attending that day
