  • Intercooler

Well a few weeks ago I took my car to MAD for a check over. Well when I was there Mark checked the Inlet system by pressurising it. There was a hissing coming from the intercooler. So it looked like the intercooler was split. That was the end of the setup

So took it home and ordered a new intercooler. Well that turned up yesterday. So stripped the old one off this evening. This is what I have found.

    Stripped out the old one.

This was the old set up

    My new one

    Once stripped found this

Now got this ready to go back on.

I would of tried to weld it up looking at the split.

That inter cooler looks like a copy of the Spec r cooler.

What's the efficiency of the Airtec cooler then?

        Dave.

Yeah they are a copy of Spec-R inter coolers but don't have the plate and bar garret core.

No shame on airtec! They copied the hart inlet too. Their coolers are good tho, they are bar and plate core just not a garret core I believe, but give good results, sure wenny uses one on his car.
