Warning Focus rs mk2 cat d on eBay but cat b. Dodgy trader trying to scam sales beware guys

Been to look at a focus rs mk2 today.
Advertised as a cat d. He showed me Hpi he did via experian etc. (said cat d)
he was a trader with a garage and all questions I asked didn't add up.

When I rang up to do a hpi they confirmed insurance marker was against that chassis number,

It came back as a cat b loss date O2 10 2012 break for spare parts if economically viable.
It has ha two mots and been taxed and used since.
Had new front bumper that didn't line up well and whole side painted.

I had paid and done the deal and lucky I thought I should do my own. You wouldn't expect to be ripped off by a trader.

His wife piped up you need to sort that out it keeps happening not again and all that

Can anyone shed any light?

Also a warn for anyone thinking of buyer. On the up send went like stink and drove beautiful etc.
really gutted as looked the nuts etc.

And it's silver on the inside.

Surprised it got CAT B status. Must have been seriously trashed, if of course it is the same car. I think whenever there's something potentially worth a lot of money there's always someone willing to try and get one over on someone to make a profit.

I am sure pumaspeed was selling this a few months ago if its the same car I was told it had a good one was about 10 or 12k I think

He told me the guy he bought it off brought it from puma speed.. Had a lot of puma speed stickers on it.

shame does look a nice car

It was t that nice close overspray on the black bits on bumper and could see places where it was blue as secondhand bumper.,not
100% sure wing was 100% lined up,either.

When sussed him out he did a runner.

I think in there advert they said it had bumper wing and bonnet but u know that's a load of bull because the insurance aren't going to write a 20k car of for that

There's a few about like this I looked at a blue one recently nice car the guy selling it said it was a cat d I rang hip came back as a cat b for spares only

But I geuss if anyone is looking at RS at the price there's gonna be something wrong
