re bonnet vent clear rubber on inside of bonnet..

Hi, im having the bonnet repainted on my cossie and its being re done both sides and the vents also, at the moment where the clips that hold the vents in go there is a clear rubbery adhesive around the edge to stop the clips rattling. What do people tend to use when replacing this as it will obviously need to be stripped off when the bonnet is prepped. Thanks

as above, it's just sticky clear vinyl.
