One of the lads that works for me has blown his clio and really needs a new engine. There is a 2.0 Clio on Copart at the moment with 2 days left to go (its at the Wolverhampton branch). Is anyone able to help out with bidding for me etc?
are there any extra fees to pay on these sort of auctions? ie if you bid £1500 and won would that be it or do you have to add vat on top or anything else?
cheers graham,it is a cat b though so that gonna add another 1k prob with the other fees
You cant buy cat b's off there, the amount of documents and certs you need doesn't make it worth the hassle.
Watch out buying stuff off there if you intend to keep it, they move cars about with long forks on the jcb's and more than once I've heard things underneath crunch when they lift them up
I don't know about cars but with the ag and commercial stuff there is added vat aswel as the sale fee they add on.
And if it doesn't make what they want they will start counter bidding you to get the price up.
honestly the amount stuff in there that isn't as it should be id always say go and look and make sure its a goer otherwise you could buy somthing damaged thats had the donkey ripped out and a nackered one chucked back in and then stuck back into copart
i know someone who bought a van from there last month with a runs and drives verfication and the gearbox sounded like it was going to explode it was banging around and 6th gear was missing, someone had done a insurance job on it
and as gaz says them telehandlers can cause aggro,i have even seen a van fall off them bouncing around
