  • Pro alloy cooler

As above will the 50mm core version cope well at 500bhp, yes i can go other routes like Spec R but if it the pro alloy version is upto the job i will spend the money on other aspects.

I know pro alloy do the 100mm version which ive previously owned but its a bloody huge lump of an intercooler id prefer not to use it

Or is there another option at good money that will do the job just fine??

    Thanks Robert

How does the 100mm top fed airtec jobbie fair up, all though 100mm its alot shorter than the pro alloy 100mm version.

Won't you still have to alter the front to get either 100mm cooler to fit though.

Pretty sure the 50 mm cooler will be up to it as most people used and still use the same cooler for the 500bhp spec.

People only go for the more efficient ones I.e the new spec r one when their power is way beyond 500 bup.

Get the cheaper version and save you money for other things imo.

Possibly dave but its no where as near as deep the airtec item, the car id imagine has already had the mod for cooler as it was 570 with iain, im thinking airtec top feed jobbie to be honest if its capable of the bhp.

I like pro alloy rob, I had the 1 with 76mm outlet pipes think maybe 65mm thick, worked fine and wasnt heavy , just fitted airtec to my focus, its heavy as fook

The spec r top feed is the best one.

Mark, yes i agree but the most expensive buy a long shot, I'm trying to compromise what will work fine at my goal and be easier on the pocket rather than go over the top on some things, so then use the funds else where building the car back up.

This car is not ending up like my last project

I only see the 50mm one on there site so not entirely sure what is available from pro shaun.

I would pull the £300 or so out of something else. On the Efr you don't need dump valve or boost controller so that's saved a bit

Rob I had the 65mm or 70mm thick pro alloy ment to be goo for 600bhp well so it says on there site, I didn't want to go cutting the front panel for the 100mm one
