  • Creative Carbon Hockeystick...can anyone help.

So....I got my replacement 'matt carbon' hockeystick from Marcus after the usual wait, and it's not the same colour as the original stuff, see pic below, original left, new one right. I don't think it's actually a gloss finish one, but its definitely brighter than the original.

Now the new one I have to say is much better finished than the original and I really like the colour, is there a way I can colour the rest of the kit the same, or tone the colour of the new one down to match the original. Can't put it on like this because it just doesn't match.

Anyone work with carbon fibre that can give me any tips. I am a bit miffed after the price you pay and the wait you have that I can't put it straight on, but I can't be bothered to wait for another one, so anyone give me any advice?
    Cheers
    Trev.

I have redone mine a couple of times.

Wet and dry them back to the weave and then a nice fresh coat of laquer.

Picture of my bonnet vent I redone.

Mine were matt when I got them Trev, had them lacquered at work, you could easy get them all done in a matt lacquer if that's the finish you want,

Got some today Nick, and I have to say it's come up brilliantly (well in a matt sort of way. ). Absolutely spot on. Thanks for that tip.
I am now questioning why I paid an extra £20 for a matt finish and didn't get one!

It's still hanging up in the garage. But it does look absolutely spot on. I have to say I was a bit dubious I'd get the right finish but it's just about perfect in my opinion.

Didn't need to rub it down George, just sprayed the matt lacquer straight on and it looks great.

Not sure mate. It certainly wasn't matt though, but it is now. Just need to drill the holes now because it hasn't got any holes drilled in it either.
