I am a bit lost with this 1 and need a bit more guidance,
My dash2 is displaying map sensor reading in Millibar which is what the ecu outputs
To get the dash to read as per a normal mechanical boost gauge in psi/bar i believe i have to subtract the atmospheric pressure from the map sensor first which is either 1 bar/14.5psi/1000mbar
The data stream in the ecu for map sensor reading definitely says output in Mbar, with the following equation
"To convert use Y=(1*x)+0 to engineering units in the range 0 - 3000 pressure, millibar" this must be correct as currently the dash2 display outputs exactly as per the ecu give or take 2 millibar
With the engine turned off and just the ignition turned on the life ecu reads 711 millibar and so does the dash 2
So going by this i need to subtract another 1bar or 1000millibar for atmospheric pressure so i should end up with -289 millibar which is - 4.19 psi
Does this sound right for engine off as i do not have a mechanical boost gauge to test this with
I know the conversion for the display to output can not read vacuum as minus x psi But any idea how we can input whatever is needed so once the pressure under load reaches and exceeds atmospheric pressure that the dash will show it in psi just as a normal boost pressure gauge would?
Here is the picture of my map sensor output

And the boost sensor scaling i got from someone off a t6 ecu for the same bosch 5 bar map sensor

And the map sensor scaling currently in my ecu

No idea why mine and the t6 pectel scaling is different?
Anyone help with this? i am awaiting a reply from race technology on this as well but thought id ask on here as well as there is a lot of knowledge on these forums
Thanks
Marc
