  • Borgwarner efr 6258

Anyone used this as an t34 alternative?
Would it be a straigth fit on an t25 exhaust manifold?

    Thanks,
    Karl

Looking for an replacement for the t34 but with better response.
Are the built in dump valves good to use?

      Thanks,
      Karl

The ST & BT manifold both use T3 bolt pattern. The efr housings i've looked at are T25 or T4 bolt pattern or vband.
          Cheers

ST is on T25 flange, BT on T3.

I have used the 6758 for a while, but in a rwd sierra. Only made 4 new stud holes in the t25 manifold and there where no clearance issues on a 4x4 head. Had 1,9 bar boost by 3200-3300 so i think the 6258 will be mental. Had no chance att all to get traction in 3rd with new 215/40-17"

Twin scroll is with t4 flange on 0.80 ex. housing.

I'll wait until Mark has tested one on an YB, but i think i'll go to efr 6758.
I've seen some dynosheet's - they are spooling nearly the same, but 6758 was way better on top end.

Would go for 6258 or 7064. 6758 started to surge at 1,9 bar during spoolup and around 4100-4300. Not so you could see it or feel it,but you could hear it.Have now a 7064 with twin scroll housing and in 4 gear you can have as much boost as you want by 3600-3700 and no surge

It's on a 2wd manifold, only needed to cut of the t3 flange, widen up the last section to t4 size and weld on a t4 flange don't got any pics here, but shall see if I can find some
