  • Visit in UK, Cosworth tour and FF2015

We are a small family (kids 5 and 8) from DK driving and sailing to UK in our vacation arriving in UK Monday 27 of Juli. Driving back Sunday 02 of August. We are looking for a bed and breakfast or a small cabin on the campsite for 4 nights. We think near of Milton Keynes or Northampton. What can you recommend? Would be nice with a god parking space!!

What should we see of Tourist things in the area?

Just pitch a tent in Ben's back garden. Or sleep in his shed, it's big enough

I'll try and get a list of B&B's local to me, however there are plenty of hotels within Milton Keynes to choose from, what's your budget for the 6 nights?

As for things to do, again it all depends on what you would like to do when here.

If staying close to Newport Pagnell, I would at least recommend driving past or going into the sales centre for Aston Martins, they don't make the cars there anymore however they usually have plenty of them out the front to look at and around. They also have the Service/Restoration centre there, but trying to get into that might be tricky unless you can talk someone into showing you around.

Milton Keynes has a good shopping centre if that's what you want to do. London is only 35 minutes from Milton Keynes train station should you fancy a day or two there, would recommend catching a local bus or getting a taxi to and from the station though as parking is a nightmare and I wouldn't really want to leave my escort there all day.

We are overnighting 4 nights. And 2 nights on the ferrys. We don't have a budget, but need to go places where the children are welcome! It would be nice to visit some kind of amusement park, the children would like that! all tips received with joy.

If you want to be reasonably close to all then I'd probably say stay in Milton Keynes
              https://www.google.co.uk/maps/place/...61a3f41d0e866b

Not sure what parking some of them have in the centre such as the Travelodge Hotel - Milton Keynes Central, but all others around have good parking the major chains that is. Have a look and see whether any of those look suitable and let me know.

As for theme parks there is one in MK
              https://www.gulliversfun.co.uk/milton-keynes

We've also got some safari parks close by
Woburn (they do have drive through enclosures so probably not suitable)
              http://www.woburnsafari.co.uk/
              Whipsnade
              http://www.zsl.org/zsl-whipsnade-zoo

Other than that further afield are Chessington World of Adventures

Alton Towers and others are about 2hr drive away, but given the ages of your children they wouldn't get on a great deal of rides and it's expensive if you can't do the big ones
