I have it on my car Nick, I bought the 3M DIY pre cut kit for the front and although its a bit tricky to fit, it s pretty much invisible and I don't have one stone chip

Paint shield is the best by far, self heals, doesn't discolour over time like the rest, dont know if you can get diy kits of it though.

Ive had whole cars done, ive done sections on my others with the offcuts from it, its not too bad to do when you get in the swing of it, I quite enjoyed it actually, 5yrs on my focus, not a chip in sight.

the only precut film sets i can find are in the states, surely someone over here does a kit? other than that all the other places are companies that only seem to fit it themselves

Armourfend is awesome stuff, got some extended arch ones after having the quarters painted on the Mrs FRS. Easy to apply as it comes with special solution and squeegee.

yes nick clean all the areas you want to cover with a panel wipe or similar

have a hot air gun or hair dryer ready to use

get a squirty bottle with a little fairy liquid added to water

did you get a soft applicator to help squeeze air out from underneath the film ? if not make a small rubber pad out of something soft about 3/4 of the size of an iphone

make sure your hands are clean before starting pull the backing off the film but don't touch the film on the sticky side or youll leave finger marks on the glue , spray water on to the film now as well as the panel & position the film where you want it then start moving the air bubbles & water from underneath it pushing it to the sides once all of the bubbles & water has gone gently warm the film up & job done ,

just so you know sometimes you can get a silvering effect for a couple of days but normally gos as it fully drys , hope the makes sense

if not google is always a good friend

It will dry on its own Nick, mine had quite a few tiny bubbles no matter how hard I tried not to get any but they all dried after a month or so and now you can't see any, spray the water solution- I used johnsons baby shampoo as directed mixed with water- onto your hands too, that way if you do accidentally touch the sticky side it won't leave marks. I did it totally on my own and although it was tricky and I swore a lot at times, it came out pretty much perfect
A trick to get rid of stubborn bubbles if they remain after a few days that really works is to use a very small hyperdermic needle, load it with the solution and pop the bubble while injecting the solution, then just smooth the bubble flat, this works a treat on any stubborn bubbles.
                      Good luck

I've got this all over the front of my mk2 frs and the skirts and rear quarters, 5 years its been on the car and no stone chips. As said it gleams as good as the paintwork and does its job that's for sure.
