Well i got the saph finished eventually and its now running an MSD kit, fitted new plugs, leads, rota, long -31, grpa coil, new fan-coil loom, put airbox back on and panel filter, it drives great and i'm genuinely loving the car, great fun to drive has enough poke, i do need to raise the boost slightly as it hits 21psi and tails off to 18-19, so set at 25psi i imagine it will give it a bit more.

Although it wont get a hard life will the head gasket be upto the task, i'm unsure of type i presume standard as it don't look like she's been apart before.

Also i fitted one of those BHP 3 bar map sensors, which seems to be upto the task but after reading a few horror stories on copy sensors i've sourced a gen marelli item.

Don't bother with greens, same spec using light blues for more power with the benefit of the same reliability.

Got the greens in now mate, with the chip to suit from MSD, it goes fine as it is, what difference would light blues achieve, i thought the greens 803's was norm at this level, not chasing power with it more give it a bit more to cope with modern cars and keep it reliable and nice to drive, which i think its at.

a late standard st gasket is the same as a group A one Rob, so when it does go, as you think its been on a while fit one of these.

                          Dave.

The same reliability but with more of a punch, gives you a good 380bhp package. Perfect all rounder. I was happy on Greens too till the injectors and chip was changed. Amazing. But if you're happy, you're happy
