mike, will these shims alter the rear camber? i know the ones you do fit between the 2 rear bolts, where as these are like tapered spacers will they work and stop excessive tyre wear? over to the experts

I actually have a set of these on the shelf sent as a sample, but I am uncomfortable about selling them, as in my opinion they put too much stress on the hub bolts.

The tyre wear is caused 50/50 by the toe out AND the excessive negative camber on full squat under acceleration etc (the reason why a slammed 2wd Cossie has ZERO traction ). My shims remove the natural toeing out caused in forward motion by bush deflection etc, which greatly improves the tyre wear. Obviously to get rid of the variable suspension geometry that the rear of every Cosworth has, can only be achieved with the fitment of a 6° rear beam. So this is "half" a fix (but a very cheap half ).

too be honest the shims are very good , my back end on my 3dr cos is shimmed

if you do sell these and you are uncomfortable about selling them just explain the situ

what i have noticed with alot of people with their cossies they all are set at different hieghts , im sure this would make the sims work different on each car ?

is there a pasific hieght the car has to be to get best use out of them ?

this is what we did to the Mk1 and the Mk2 escorts yrs ago shim the hubs it is a good idea and they do work well

I'm only uncomfortable about selling the large wedge shaped shims that fit the whole of the hub, not the ones I sell that go on the back two bolts...

Obviously the ride height affects the static geometry and then the amount of squat dictates the rest.

mike do you mean too much stress because the bolts will be tightened in more to pull the hub flat/straight or just through general driving stresses?

...the mike r shims are great you can actually see the rear wheels sit different after putting them in...well they did to me

....for road use a must forget a grp a beam.....leave that to those wannabe racing drivers

Group A beam is not a lot of point IMHO, huge cost, pain to get spares, high maintainance on the mag parts, and still only a 9° pickup point offset... Be much better off with an Adrenaline or Ahmed beam
