  • anyone know much about audi's?

the reason I ask is because I've given a guy a deposit on a audi 80 coupe 2.8 v6 Quattro and I'm hoping to get a lift up to the north east this week and collect it.
now I do know I little about these cars, my old man has had a 2.6v6 front wheel drive on an N since it was about a year old and ive recently bought a 2.0e to do up and sell on - which ive not quite finished, however ive sold my van and fancied a car for with a bit of old school appeal but with good build quality and these cars are built very well, the 2.0e has 161k on the clock and you'd never know! ideally I wanted the s2 variant but of course theyre £££'s , anyhow I happened upon this one on gumtree, right money, needs tlc and being the 2.8 Quattro there's only around 200 registered in the uk. they are 180bhp as standard .... of course that's not quite enough, so my question is,
    how do I get more??
    one for the road?? ......

Not a lot of people know this cocker but Borg Warner bought KKK Turbos and a old Audi with a big fat German KKK did the shnitzel back in the day

On a clasical V6, you can get more HP with classical NA tuning. but when you want high power you should found a crashed S2 and use the technic stuuf from a S2. Its the same amound of money, as tuning a V6. But for the 2.2 its more power possible. Its the same way like Escort need some change at 350HP. But the to have a nice original 80 Coupe is also nice. No rust problems and a timeless design.

s2's are pretty rare in not crashed form, finding a smashed one would be very difficult, the running gear is the same as the s2 so it just upping the performance of the engine without swapping it for something else is what I'm after, there is very little info out there it would seem, ive been a member on the vwaudi forum for a while but there responses to threads seem to move in the same time frames as the universe it would be handy if there was a turbo kit ..... but I doubt it!

The Problem is, to build a Turbokit in a Audi V6 its cheaper and more stressless than too buy a S2 A friend is trying to sell his Passat 32B Syncrowith the Audi S2 Motor. But there is also not a real marked.

Audi drivers all drive like idiots on the A1, if that helps Chris.
