  • Front suspension and driveshaft question.

Hi guys, probably a silly question to most people, I've bought some of the Automotive unlimited extended driveshafts and they both look exactly the same. Now..the drivers side one looks exactly the same as my original drivers one component wise, but the passenger side one looks like it needs partially stripping down on the inner end. Am I right in thinking this, i.e. it needs taking apart up to and including the 3 point bearing thing?

And just another quick question, do the front shafts need a big washer on them like the rear ones before you put the axle nuts on?
    Cheers
    Trev.

I bought some uprated ones once and they were too long, only by a bit but enough that they would not fit so went back to standard ones

Anyone? It does look like it will have to come apart to fit in the hole.

No need to strip them down to fit them.

Yes use the washers that are on your existing hub.
            Cheers

I've done the drivers side one, but I thought the passenger side was different.

Have I cocked up? Do you need to put the three point bearing on the drivers side and the spring in, or is it all inside the shaft? I'm sure there is some difference between passenger and drivers side.

Spring is already inside the inner cv on both sides.

Left has no circlip, right can be, or not, circlipped inside diff.

I'm also looking for a set of washers for both front driveshafts - did you guys have any luck finding somewhere that supplied them online?

My existing washers are dished and not flat. Are they supposed to be flat?
