Hello EsCozpeeps. It's high time I made a post, I've been a stealth member for a while now due to working overseas and viewing this superb site from afar. I have owned my LHD EsCoz for 20 years now but it has spent most of its life cocooned it the garage as I'm never in country long enough to justify re-registering it in the UK and using it as nature intended. Time has come though and this Summer I'm determined to attend as many EsCoz/Ford RS/Classic Car events as possible. The million dollar question I have is....Has anyone out there attempted a full LHD to RHD conversion??

Well I've converted a 1/24 Scale Escort Cosworth from LHD to RHD if that counts?!
In all seriousness, the conversion has been done, but it's a fair old job. I knew a guy that converted cars from LHD to RHD or vice versa for clients all over the world, but he's long since retired now.

The car will never be quite right on paper, you might have issues with the insurance and it would possibly put of buyers in the future let alone its value IMO

Well that's settled that then.......Thank you all for your swift replies and learned counsel. I'll be in the market for some RHD headlights and other bits soon enough.
Seriously though when I put the car in storage back in 1999 and ventured off into the sunset to seek my fortune in sunnier climes, the UK insurance excess for a left hooker EsCoz was astronomical, added to the expense of changing the clocks & headlights for UK registration. There wasn't much in the way of secondhand EsCoz spares back then either so converting to RHD was a very expensive option although there were several UK-based RS "specialists" who claimed to have the capability and spares support.
First sunny day, I'll take some pics and get them up....Mind you, they don't seem to get many of those in South Wales..
