  • paint magnesium

    going to blast magnesium parts, and need to Paint them. so what is the correct way to do it? was thinking etchprimer first, then 2k epoxy ontop of that(since this can be on spraycan, so easier to bring With me to spray it after blasting, to protecy it after blasting) then sand it again and Paint it when I get the parts home.

    you shouldn't blast magnesium ,and you should send them back to the factory to be x-rayed etc then chromate coated before painting , if you blast then paint they will just rot from inside

      hmm... okay, need to try to find somebody that can do it then... thanx. its 909 parts, so back to factory is not easy...
