Yeah that's right - I expect the samples to be at my place end of next week or beginning of week thereafter. - then I will do fitment tests with both 245/35 and 255/35 Toyo R888R and 'regular' Michelin tyres - also I have some old Conti's lying around. Pictures will follow.

        - but these are 8 inch whide, probably ET 15s - so ours with 9 inch and ET20 are pisitioned about 8mm more towards the outside of the car.
That's my car and yes they are 8 inches wide and I've measured the offset at ET15.

My car has been lowered approx. 15mm iirc so ever-so-slightly lower than the standard ride height but it's probably as fair a view for any picture.

        • Just received some more pictures from my agent in China of the first samples, I wanted to share these with you

Also - already from the pictures it is clear that the work is not done yet - the CNC work on the back of the wheel was not 100% - so this needs to be fixed for the production version for sure

Today my agent will send these wheels to the Netherlands, I will receive them early next week probably and start doing all required tests and measurements - most important ones the strength and fatigue tests of course.

After that I will instruct the factory with the desired changes and have them make a second set of samples - hopefully 2nd time right, but usually this takes 3 or 4 iterations until perfection is there...

          ...keep you guys posted...

Damn, that one with the cap removed reveals some serious deviation from the V16 design.

Don't bother, tell them to make them correctly first.

As you can see from the V16 render and the image you provided, the OEM Ford cap will not fit. Also they have deviated from some of the important details nailed down by FEA.

                    • Thanks John - Indeed there is a lot of work to be done and indeed the factory did not follow our latest V16 design, which was the first feedback I gave to them.

Nevertheless I want the wheels to be sent to my place, they will arrive Monday, because there is a lot more checking to be done, such as strength, shape of the back of the wheel (for big brake fitment), paint quality, etc.

Better give the factory all feedback at once and save some iterations. As I mentioned before - usually this takes at least three iterations.

We have gone this far so I want the product 100%
