Is help needed to keep it on-line? Say £ 2.00 from each member per year?

It has nothing to do with money, we have enough in the kitty from the calendar sale last year to cover the next 5 years, I believe the problem was due to a chat plugin on the site that was hacked and sending out spam so the hosting company suspended the site until it was fixed.
Hopefully Chas or Paul will be on to explain a little more

It is safe and is with me, I'm the only one to have access to it and all money in or out is accounted for and I'm more than happy to share the information. I take the money out to ensure it is all kept separate from my own money.
We've never had this much money in the kitty before but it might now be time especially if we do the calendars again this year, to formalise it and create a bank account for the site. But that begs the question who should be the authorised signatories?

Doug, no I haven't seen that film.
I know you weren't questioning my integrity, however it is something that I do think about and want to ensure everyone knows how its managed and kept.

A few members seemed to think their personal accounts had been suspended as opposed to the website hosts suspending the whole site...which is a bit confusing. The suspended page did seem to indicate something dodgy had happened (as opposed to any outstanding rent!) which is why they'd pulled the plug. Fair enough I suppose but the error message could have been a bit more informative.

It did appear like that, as you say it could have been worded better but not sure we have the control over that message. I'm not even sure we could get on to send a mass email out, I certainly don't have admin access so was in the same boat as everyone else

I'll message Chas to see if he can provide a better explanation, I was relaying a message I'd been sent and don't know first hand what the problem was
