The owner of that car at the time of the article goes by Johnny Tsunami on a few car forums in the U.S. While searching for an ESCOS to buy, I ran across his advert on a cached geocities page. He'd sold the car a few years before, but was nice enough to give me some contacts and the address of the North American Escort Cosworth group page.
I was a little surprised by the claim that these cars burn through MAF sensors, as I've never heard that anywhere else.
