rallying........................ some want expensive rally parts for old escorts that have been not used properly for rallying to be put on show ponies and unfortunately its gonna cause problems.

theres people who clearly have no grasp or concept of how hard a rally car gets used and thus so do the parts and they start thinking the parts are gonna be concours,if they are great you have hit the jackpot but if that group a titanium side exit exhaust looks like it has been over the top of a dry stone wall and shoved around its par for the course imo as its been rallied.

if you ever get the chance to see a gravel underneath you will be shocked to see they are totally abused looking and bashed up, so when your buying old parts ask yourself do you know how its been used because its likely to have been used hard.

anything else like stuff not what its supposed to be or stuff not turning up i dunno about, but i have honestly experianced it myself when people expect mint rallied old parts and they just havn't got a clue how stuff gets treated.

john if your stuck for lhd stuff i can ask a few people abroad if you want, if i needed one i would also try asking foreign users on here or pf and the rsoc direct.
Very valid points! Everyone is entitled to an opinion based on their own experiences, that's one of the good points of posting up threads! My experience with ATM has been positive!

But when they sell a completely standard front diff as a limited slip Qualife (ask Dave Moss!), or try to sell you a thickwall front casing that is infact a completely standard one (to me ) it sort of brings thier morals into question knowing that they DELIBERATLY tried to sell you shit parts for top money .... Also ripped a lot of overseas lads off as they have no way of sorting stuff out

Then when you put a post up on passionford asking for comfirmation off other members that the diff was std, getting LOTS of abusive emails from the ownerof ATM and threats of trying to get me in trouble with my work (I'm in the RAF) for "slandering" his company...

Utter Cunts, and I will always tell anyone that asks never to use them as they are completely untrustworthy in my eyes, and why take the risk when there are plenty of honest traders to help you out?

so imho AVOID ATM AT ALL COSTS

If you know what you are looking for and can collect in person i would say they are no different than buying second hand from a forum member. I have collected stuff from them in the past no problem.

I seen that they had a ford motorsport 909 thick walled front diff casing on ebay a few times and I did a search on the part number and it came up that they did infact make a thick wall case but you couldn't tell by looking at the picture. The highest bid never got passed £120 and I was tempted but never bought in the end because of who was selling it! Heard so many people say that they have bought parts that weren't what they said they were.

Yes, but why waste your time and fuel. When they put pictures up of what they aren't even selling you, as happened to me. Over 150 mile round trip wasted. For peace of mind just deal with someone you can trust!

The diff casing they are offering is the 909 "selected casing" , which is basically a standard 4x4 cos casing, but it is at the best/thickest tolerance. It offers virtually NO advantage over a standard casing.

The proper Ford 909 thickwall is 3x thicker than the standard unit, and is what Quaife based thier copy thickwall casing on. Big big difference.
                Pics on this thread:
                http://www.passionford.com/forum/sho...d.php?t=162346

The sad thing is ATM try to palm the crappy 909 "selected" casing off as a genuine thickwall, as people see 909 and thickwall in the ad, and think they are getting the real deal ....

That is a cunts trick if you ask me. Just for proof, here are the threads from passionford at the time ... Some pics might no longer work though

... use ATM at your peril, and as a long standing member (9 years+ ) of Passionford and here, and the RSOC BB, the last thing I want to see is any more people get ripped off by these criminals

                  John,
If you have the FINIS code for the part you want, email it to me and I will ask my German contact to see if he can source it for you .
                  Cheers

I think Johns got the idea now, so no need for this thread anymore.

                    thread locked.
