It's Higgins car dismantlers that's getting them done. 7k for a full shell including panels. I thought they were already made though. There been photos of them posted up on Facebook already.
Been a bit of a debate on how they will actually be registered though. Do they come with ID's and receipts etc?
Not far from me, might call down and see what they have
There's only 50 shells being made to start off from what I've heard . I did consider buying one instead of rebuilding my Mexico but I've heard you can't get a valuation on the car through the rsoc if it's reshelled
News to me, one of the concourse winning MK1 RS cars is a reshell, although it was a genuine Ford made service shell.
The MK1 would have been a better choice imo, but the MK2 is still good looking. Look forward to seeing your build Dai
Rallying is the reason Ben, far more mk2's rallying than 1's
most of these new shells will go into rally reshell projects

We import exhibition framework from China, bloody stuff is always delayed, hope your shell isn't.
Hopefully not to long however the big clean out will begin need to sell-find -earn the build money now!so no real rush yet! would like to finish it by Aug 2017 so don't want to wait to long need atlas now ££££
Yes have to agree but as said these done right.into what I want track car cage not much of original car left after apart from the look of mk2 really
Ha,I'm building it for me not you or to sell, makes me lol at you with value value value who gives a fuck rust free she'll to start with most rally cars are using these panels rear quarters etc so what's the diff I'll tell you nothing unless people's opinions such as yourself,do you really think I'm building a car with value in mind I've 2 cars both built from new shells and yes you would prob notice but my cars as as good as anyone's yes they not as valuable as most, but I don't care as my cars speak for them-self and when done this mk2 Ching Ching will be better than the shit welded up I see which gives me no confidence to chuck big money at,I'm building track car not pub forum bragging rights
£7k doesn't sound bad. These may or may not be as good as genuine Ford shells - time will tell but how good was a 70's Ford anyway as far as build quality etc is concerned
I think the idea of these is brilliant, especially as a patched up 40 year old genuine cars needing work are similar £££
I also like the space framed RSR Escort that SHP Engineering do now
Can you let us know on this thread when you (hopefully) start a resto thread on here please
Yes of course I will start through when I start the project I don't get shell Till April then it's going to be a while in storage while shopping list starts the garage that will be preping the shell to yb spec all ready have one of these shells there and they are in good shape to start with yes price is right especially when we get the vat back lol
No offence intended guys
Value is just paper and pub talk means nothing to having a rust free yb power track slut I will be road reg it,but deal with that when time comes q plate id don't care as long it's built my way

I couldn't care less what anyone does builds or fawns over but when someone passes a Ching chong shell off as a original Ford I'll know the difference was what I was saying
