  • Which clutch AP organic or 6 paddle

    Hi all,

I'll be looking to pick up a clutch kit over the summer at the same time I do the hydro conversion and looking for advice.

Quick spec is T35.55, Siemens 55lb's, pro 500 cooler, NMS live mapped at 360/27psi.

The car would of ran 400 and I've got an AB07 cam to go in but the clutch started slipping during mapping and Karl had to back it off.

I had fitted a genuine old stock AP stamped Motorcraft clutch kit but regrettably now looking for something else.

It's a road car and would never do more than a couple of laps on a track. Karl recommended an AP organic but I've read posts on here where some are slipping at only 350.

AP organic or 6 paddle ? I don't want to ruin the car with juddering moving off.

I can't find Alcon anymore and I've had recommendation from overseas on a Sach organic with race cover

My AP organic with Motorsport plate was good upto 450 before it started slipping and that's also because of EFR turbo which spools a lot lower down than the t4 that I had before

I have a AP 6 paddle with helix cover, & I put a hydro clutch in while I was at it, it's sound as a pound
I was tempted to go organic but I thought if I want to go more power it's all done with a paddle & I can crack on with it, where with a organic it's all the work & money all over again....
        Hope that helps.

These guys are the ones that claim to sell AP clutches on ebay I believe. Loads of bad reviews on them.
