My 200 block has already been re bored to +0.5mm oversize. And now no 3 piston has part melted and scored the bore. So if I get it re bored to +1.0mm oversize woyld this be ok for around 400 bhp?? Cant really afford a new block :-(

I think folk with have different opinions on this. I had a 1mm overbore on an early 4x4 due to an oval bore, it ran 350ish for many years afterwards with no issues. After I sold it it was upgraded to around 440, and as far as I know (from seeing photos of it) it's still going and it looks to be on the same block.

The first engine in my car was 1.0mm over size , was fine for a good few years running 400bhp , eventually the block cracked right down one of the cylinders ,
If it were me I'd fit a set of liners and bring back to std size
